A Review By Deepak Koradi An Upcoming Music Director

Bhavapayana.. as the title itself tells, it's a journey to the land of feelings and this journey begins with the soothing alaap of Dr. SPB in the first song of this album. Dr. SPB, as always with his mesmerising voice, gives the real life to this song taking us to the real world of Deepak Sagar's imagination. Chinmay with his very good sense of music has composed this song beautifully. Dr SPB's voice modulations, Deepak's words and Chinmay's outstanding tuning along with a good orchestration has resulted in such a refreshing song.
As we travel further in this journey, we get to hear some more beautiful tracks like "thandaara thara beka, nagara bindeegi..", "swaami nammaya devaar, bandaara banniro.." which have folk background. MD Pallavi, who's a very well known voice in sugama sangeetha, has sung these songs with full enthusiasm and the foot tapping music would make us dance as we keep listening to these songs. I feel these songs very well suit for folk dances as well.
Not restricting herself to folk style, MD Pallavi, with her versatile nature of singing, has filled-in life for 2 more songs in this album. Radhe's painful heart which is seeking for its beloved 'Madhava' is very well described in the song "kalarava kelade radheyolage..". With Pallavi's melodious voice and a perfect blend of guitars, voilins and piano, this song has come out neatly. One more beautiful track that would touch anybody who listens to it is "bhaavaantharangavanu mididantha chetanave, chigurodedha kanasugala chivutadiru yendu.." a new poet Prathibha Raaghavendra [from Purappemane] has phrased these lines very nicely and Chinmay has given a classical touch to this song. MD Pallavi has added her melody to increase the glory of this song. Orchestration could have been enhanced even more for this song.
Sailing further we get to hear a new voice for 3 of the songs and I feel this is a good breakthrough for Sahana Bhat. Kudos to Chinmay and the orchestration team for the soothing composition in the song "Swaatiya maleyali..." which is the title song of this album as well. The usage of flute in the song "baa kogile haadhu swaradalle eegale.." has enhanced the beauty of it. "Baruthaane chandeera jo laali.."is also a good song but there was more room for work in that song still. Sahana had done a good job in her debut but there is a big scope of improvement for her going further.
Overall an awesome and nice album. Congratulations to Chinmay for this and all the best for his future endeavors.
Best Regards,
Deepak Koradi

Hello Mr.Chinmaya

I was looking for Sudha Bargur (a friend of mine) jokes on internet and accidentally saw few clippings of your album release function and heard her praising your music and got interested.
Fortunately, I was able to find your album ‘Bhavapayana’ on kannadaaudio.com and was really mesmerized by your music. I also found your email address and so thought of sending an email to express my happiness.

I am also a big time music lover who was fortunate to get some good opportunity in music field. However, now it is just a hobby but listen to music a lot and so was when I heard your tunes, it really took me to a different world. The way you have blended your classical knowledge with light music is really amazing. Mr.Deepak’s and your lyrics are also really great. And both SPB and Pallavi has poured their souls into your songs. Their excellent rendering of the songs shows how much they have enjoyed your tunes.

Hope to listen to more of your songs. Wish you all the best.

Thanks

A Review By Soujanya Bhat

When I heard the album name Bhaavapayana, I was very much impressed and had a sensation that this album should be an outcome of a talented composer and thoughtful lyricist with a very good insight of musical knowledge.
A good mixture of western instruments for the classical tunes composed by Chinmay, soothing and appealing voice of the living legend Dr. SPB, folk style singing as well as some melody rendered by known voice of sugama sangeetha - MD Pallavi, neatly phrased lyrics by Deepak Sagar, a good attempt by new comer Sahana Bhat and properly sequenced orchestration has given a very good product like Bhaavapayana. Being an admirer of sugama sangeetha, I have added this album to my favourite collections.
Quality of music can still be improved going further. Also, such albums can create opportunities to lots of music aspirants and local talents.
As a whole this album has done its duty to keep its name in the field of sugama sangeetha and has also made us to expect some more new albums like these.
All the very best. Keep going....

A Review On Bhaavapayana By Mangala H S

Bhava Payana is a really wonderful album directed by Chinmay M Rao, Honagodu.
In this album every song is really excellent. I would like to speak about Kalarava Kelade specially, because it is my favorite song.
This song is written by chinmay M rao. It explains the feeling of Radha about Krishna when she misses him. A lyric is really great. It has got wonderful meaning. It’s really touching the heart.
Composition is really amazing. Beautiful raga and innovative style. Modulations and specially changing the sangathees is really amazing. I really appreciate Chinmay for the great composition.
It is sung by M D pallavi. Really a great singer. Such a melodious voice and her pitch is very high, it’s great. She sung this song very well, nice involvement and very clear pronunciation.
I hope surely people will accept this and appreciate their efforts and contributions.
May god give you all the strength and support to all of them to contribute more and more albums like this.
Best wishes,
Mangala Hale-ikkeri.
